Is this made digitally? If so how did you get the brush stroke effect? I'm starting to do calligraphy stuff, but I am using gimp. It would be nice to come up with an easy way to get the crunchy brush effect you have.

Also, that brush effect isn't easy even for real, so it's gonna be hard digitally... (there are very special programs to do that)

Well, using a mouse I can't really 'drag' the brush off the paper, so to produce some realistic and nice looking fade out is #struggles

I don't know how you'd do that with a mouse tbh... (thankfully I'm not a master calligrapher, most of them would be dead shocked to hear that already xD )

No no, I made this for real with a true brush and ink

I dunno how to do this digitally... I tried pretty much, but how it ends up is not very good...
Still, if you wanna try this, you should try MyPaint : mypaint.intilinux.com/ The best for brush calibration (although I haven't tried GIMP 2.8 so I don't know)
